ABOUT
Stacey Martin
Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate
Hi, I’m Stacey.
I believe therapy is not about becoming someone new. It is about helping you reconnect with your strengths and move through life's challenges with greater confidence and clarity.
Whether I'm working with a child, a teen, or an adult, my goal is to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and accepted. Together, we'll slow things down, make sense of what you're experiencing, and discover practical tools that fit your life. For children, that may mean expressing big feelings through play or creative activities. For teens, it may mean having a place to talk without fear of judgment. For parents and families, it can mean finding new ways to communicate, connect, and support one another.
You do not need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. You simply need a place to begin. We will start where you are and move forward together, one step at a time.
On a personal note...
Outside of the therapy room, you'll usually find me spending time with my husband and our four young children, cheering them on at their sporting events, enjoying a long walk or bike ride in the sunshine, or cozied up with a good book. Our home is also shared with our 14-year-old pup and two well-loved kitties, who always keep life interesting.
I try to slow down long enough to notice the beauty in everyday moments. I believe some of life's most meaningful memories are made around the dinner table, on family adventures, or during quiet conversations with the people we love.
Like every family, ours has experienced seasons of joy alongside seasons of challenge. Those experiences have deepened my empathy and reinforced my belief that healing doesn't come from having a perfect life. It comes from feeling connected through life's imperfect moments.
I believe therapy should feel much the same. My hope is to create a space where you don't have to have all the answers or pretend everything is okay. Whether you're a child, teen, adult, or family, you're welcome exactly as you are. My hope is that when you leave our sessions, you'll feel a little lighter, a little more understood, and more hopeful and confident about the path ahead.
My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in curiosity. I draw from relational practices that support emotional understanding and the connection between mind and body.
In session, we work together to notice patterns, emotions, and responses that may have once been protective but now feel overwhelming or unhelpful. This can include exploring how experiences show up in thoughts, feelings, relationships, and the body.
We also gently explore the needs that may sit beneath anxiety, stress, self-criticism, or emotional overwhelm, and begin building tools that feel practical, supportive, and usable in daily life. The process is paced to fit each person, whether I am working with children, teens, adults, or families.

My path to therapy
I grew up in a blended family, an experience that shaped my understanding of relationships, different perspectives, and the importance of feeling heard and understood. From a young age, I was drawn to helping people feel validated and making space for multiple sides of a story.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Community Health from Western Washington University, where I became interested in how environment, relationships, and access to support influence well-being. After that, I worked as a Mentor Coordinator with Be the One, supporting teens and adult volunteers in building mentoring relationships that fostered connection, growth, and stability.
From there, I completed my Master of Education in School Counseling and worked as a school counselor, supporting children and adolescents through academic, social, and emotional challenges in the school setting. Across each step of my journey, I have been drawn to helping people feel understood, supported, and capable of meaningful change in their lives.
These experiences continue to shape how I show up as a counselor and how I support clients in making sense of their stories, emotions, and relationships.
